North Dakota – The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported a speeding incident along Highway 83 near mile marker 190, located south of Minot.
According to the report, a driver was traveling at 95 mph in a posted 70 mph zone.
When stopped, the driver reportedly claimed the vehicle’s speedometer was broken and that they were estimating speed using engine RPMs.
Authorities noted the violation as an example of unsafe driving behavior and reminded motorists to follow posted speed limits to ensure safety for all road users.
