Bismarck, N.D. – Bismarck police responded to a vehicle-pedestrian crash near Bismarck High School on Thursday around noon, after a 15-year-old student was struck while crossing the street.

Preliminary reports indicate a 46-year-old man was driving southbound on North 7th Street when his truck hit the student as she crossed eastbound in the crosswalk toward the school.

The student sustained significant injuries to her lower body but was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Bismarck Police Department Traffic Investigation Section is conducting a full investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash.
