A 28-year-old mother, Veronica, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the brutal murder of her 8-year-old son, Loris. Initially, Veronica claimed that she had taken her son to school and that he had disappeared by the time she returned to pick him up in the afternoon. However, authorities began to suspect her when CCTV footage from the school did not support her story, as noted by Judge Reale.

Court documents revealed that Veronica killed her son after he discovered she was having an affair with his grandfather. Prosecutors stated that she used electrical cables to kill Loris and abandoned his body in a remote area.

Loris’s body was eventually found by a hunter, showing signs of a severe head injury. Veronica was found guilty of both the murder and the concealment of her son’s body.

During an earlier court hearing, she confessed to the crime but blamed her husband’s father, Andrea, claiming he had helped plan and carry out the murder after Loris caught them in a compromising situation. Andrea has denied these allegations and is threatening to sue Veronica for slander.
