Fargo, N.D. – The Fargo Police Department held a promotion ceremony this week to officially recognize three officers for their leadership and continued service to the community.
Captain Troy Hannig, Lieutenant Cristie Jacobsen, and Sergeant Tim Falconnier were honored during the ceremony for their recent promotions within the department.
According to a department statement, each officer’s promotion reflects their dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the Fargo community.
Captain Hannig will now lead the department’s Professional Standards Division, overseeing internal procedures and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and accountability measures.
Lieutenant Jacobsen has been assigned as the department’s Night Shift Commander, where she will supervise evening patrol operations. Sergeant Falconnier is preparing to begin his official sergeant training in his new role.
Department officials said the promotions are part of a continued effort to recognize high-performing personnel and ensure strong leadership across all divisions.
“Their well-earned promotions reflect their dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to serving the Fargo community — qualities that embody the core values of our department,” the Fargo Police Department stated in a release.
All three officers bring years of law enforcement experience and professional development to their new roles.
