North Dakota – The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported that troopers assisted the U.S. Border Patrol on a pursuit after a vehicle failed to stop at the Pembina Port of Entry and continued southbound on Interstate 29.

Troopers deployed tire deflation devices near Grand Forks, damaging the suspect vehicle’s tires.

During the pursuit, the vehicle crossed the median and briefly traveled northbound in the southbound lanes, creating a significant safety risk for other drivers.

A controlled intervention brought the vehicle to a safe stop on the north end of Cass County.

The suspect, a female resident of Ontario, was taken into custody without further incident and is facing charges under North Dakota state law for fleeing and reckless endangerment.
