I have experience many different types of frustrations and fears in my life, but one of the ones that tend to get me more than any other is getting pulled over by the cops. You know, you’re driving on the road and everything sees to be okay. The radio is on and sun i shining and suddenly, you see the blue lights in our mirror and we know that our day is about to get much worse… When this police pulled over the woman over for having a busted brake light, he could easily have issued her a ticket.

Instead, he decided to give her some useful advice, and his actions that day have taken the internet by storm. Chy was on her way to a job interview when she saw the blue lights flashing behind her. I didn’t took long before she realized that she was being pulled over. She was already stressed because of going to the interview and seeing the police wasn’t going to make it better. Chy she had no idea why the policeman was pulling her over. But she soon got an explanation. “Don’t worry about pulling anything out,” Officer Jenkins said to Chy, as she fumbled for her license and registration. “I just want you to know that your brake lights are out.”

Chy told Officer Jenkins how Firestone had tried to charge her $600 just to run a test on the wiring of her car. Jenkins responded by asking her to pop her trunk. He began by fiddling with her lights and tapping one of them repeatedly. The woman didn’t quite know how to digest his kindness. That was stressful enough but the good news is, she didn’t have to shell out money for a repair or pay a fine. Officer Jenkins would have been well within his rights to give her a ticket, but he opted not to. Furthermore, he then went above and beyond to try and ensure she would be safe on the road. Chy shared her experience on Facebook: “So this happened just now. I’m on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled. Both brake lights decided to go out this time. As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said…”

“Don’t worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know your brake lights are out” “So I’m immediately upset because I just got them replaced last month. So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car.” “He looked at me (like he knew this was crazy) and told me to pop the trunk…” “He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn’t come on. So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one.” “He could have easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role and into mechanic role to make sure I was straight.” Chy’s post ultimately went viral on social media, garnering more than 388,000 likes and 90,800 shares.
