North Dakota – A high-speed pursuit on May 10, 2025, ended in an injury crash in Jamestown after a vehicle, attempting to flee from authorities, collided with another vehicle at an intersection.
At 7:50 a.m. on that morning, the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) responded to reports of a reckless driver traveling eastbound on Interstate 94 from Kidder County. The vehicle, a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, was spotted near mile marker 242, traveling at speeds exceeding 100 mph. However, soon after, the Jamestown Police Department located the Monte Carlo and initiated another traffic stop. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle crashed at the intersection of 10th Street and 7th Avenue SE, striking a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500.
The driver of the Monte Carlo, an 18-year-old male from Bismarck, North Dakota, sustained injuries in the crash. Three juvenile passengers, a 16-year-old male, a 14-year-old female, and a 15-year-old male, were also injured, though all were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.
