Minot, N.D. – According to the city officials, Janet Anderson has resigned from her position and her last day at the Library is scheduled to be April 7.

She submitted her resignation to the Library Board on March 7.

The Library Board is the governing body for the Library; the board has created a hiring committee and a revised job description to find Anderson’s replacement.

Anderson has been Library Director since 2015 after serving as the Library’s adult services librarian for two years.

City Manager Harold Stewart released the following statement:

“We appreciate Janet’s work in making the Minot Public Library an amazing resource for the members of our community. Her hard work and dedication have contributed greatly to our Library’s growth in programming and the expansion of its mission. We wish Janet good luck in her future endeavors.”
