BOTTINEAU, N.D. — The Bottineau County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 57-year-old man who fell at a grain elevator site last week.
According to authorities, deputies were called to the scene on Friday morning after reports of a man lying face down in the loading area of Railroad Avenue in Bottineau. Emergency personnel arrived to find the man, identified as Ronald Fawley, beneath a platform at the Border Ag and Energy grain elevator.
Fawley was quickly transported to St. Andrews Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Investigators have determined that Fawley had been working on a platform about 15 feet above where he was found, though the exact circumstances surrounding the fall are still under investigation.
The sheriff’s office continues to look into the incident, and further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
