Minot, N.D. – Burdick Expressway west was alive with activity early Monday morning as construction crews began placing the final section of concrete roadway, part of the City of Minot’s ongoing infrastructure improvement efforts.

Work started around 5:30 a.m. with crews using GPS-guided equipment to pour the new concrete roadway, while finishers followed behind to complete the surface by hand. Nearby, additional teams were busy installing new curbs and gutters, also combining machine precision with manual finishing.

Preparations are also underway for the installation of new sidewalks along the corridor in the coming days, adding another layer of visible progress to the area.

And the efforts aren’t limited to Burdick Expressway. Just south of the intersection, a major phase of underground utility and roadway restoration is also taking shape along 16th Street SW.
