Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Police Department recognized several officers and staff members during its annual employee awards ceremony, highlighting outstanding service, professionalism, and dedication to the community.

Department leaders honored nominees and award recipients for their contributions to public safety and their continued commitment to serving residents of Bismarck. Officials said the ceremony reflects the department’s appreciation for employees who demonstrate leadership and excellence in their daily duties.

Nominees recognized during the event included Sgt. Casey Bosch, Officer Tristan Tokach, Officer Brennan Bennington, Detective Zachary Hayden, Terry Scherr, Joy Havelka, Officer Justin Antonovich, and Officer Anthony Versfelt.

Terry Scherr received the department’s 2025 Civilian Employee of the Year Award, while Officer Anthony Versfelt was named the 2025 Sworn Officer of the Year.

Department officials thanked all nominees for their hard work and service, emphasizing the important role each employee plays in supporting the department’s mission and maintaining public safety throughout the community.
