Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Fire Department is inviting families to its Second Annual Fire Prevention Week Open House on Thursday, Oct. 8, at Fire Station 4.
The free community event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at 4103 Miriam Drive and will feature food, activities for children, fire safety education and demonstrations from local firefighters.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Bismarck firefighters and learn more about fire safety while seeing emergency response demonstrations.
The department said the event is designed to give families a chance to have fun while also learning important information that could help keep them safe in the event of a fire or other emergency.
Children attending the open house can participate in activities while families enjoy food and spend time at the fire station.
The department will also conduct fire and rescue demonstrations, giving attendees an opportunity to see firefighters and their equipment in action.
The open house is free to attend and is open to the community.
The Bismarck Fire Department is reminding visitors to follow posted parking signs and use designated parking areas when arriving at the event. Officials said keeping vehicles in the designated areas will help maintain access for emergency vehicles and keep the event organized.
