Bismarck, N.D. – The 2025 session of Bismarck’s Citizen Academy officially wrapped up on Thursday with a visit to the Bismarck Police Department.
Participants toured the facility, spoke with law enforcement staff about policing challenges, and learned about the tools, vehicles, and equipment used in daily operations.
The session also included a hands-on experience at the pistol range, where attendees had the opportunity to fire a few rounds under supervision.
The Citizen Academy is designed to provide residents with insight into local government operations and public safety services.
The program offers firsthand experiences with various city departments, giving participants a deeper understanding of how law enforcement and other agencies serve the community.
