Bismarck, N.D. – This week, the Bismarck Police Department joined communities nationwide in observing Red Ribbon Week, a campaign aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of drug use and encouraging healthy, drug-free lifestyles.
Red Ribbon Week honors DEA Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, who lost his life in the fight against illegal drugs.
His sacrifice inspired a movement that continues to emphasize the importance of making safe and positive choices.
The department urged community members, especially youth, to choose a drug-free life and support others in doing the same, emphasizing the goal of promoting health, safety, and a future free from drugs.
