Bismarck, ND – According to the city officials, residents in Bismarck have until the end of business on January 27 to schedule curbside item pickups for January. To make arrangements, contact Public Works at 701-355-1700 and choose Option 3 from the automated menu. Items scheduled for January 29 must be placed on the curb by 6 a.m.

A pilot program for collecting oversized residential items is underway and will continue through the first half of 2025. This initiative allows residents to schedule pickups for items that cannot fit in the standard 96-gallon garbage can. All items must be manageable by two people.

The cost includes a $20 service fee for up to five items, along with the landfill disposal cost for each item. More details on accepted items can be obtained by contacting Public Works.

On scheduled pickup days, residents should place items on the curb by 6 a.m. Winter weather may impact collection schedules.
