Fargo, N.D. – According to the city officials, Mayor Dr. Mahoney has declared an emergency to enact a closure of all non-emergency City offices for all of Wednesday, April 5 and through 12 noon on Thursday, April 6.
City officials also announced that snow plowing services will continue and public safety agencies will be in full operation to protect and serve the residents of Fargo.
All Fargo City Hall departments will be closed on Wednesday, April 5 and through 12 noon on Thursday, April 6. Fargo Municipal Court, all three Fargo Public Library locations, The Fargo Fire Department lobby and The Fargo Police Department lobby.
Fargo Cass Public Health will be closed all of Wednesday, April 5 and through 12 noon on Thursday, April 6; this includes all WIC and clinic services.
MATBUS services will remain closed all of Wednesday, April 5 and through 12 noon on Thursday, April 6. The Ground Transportation Center (GTC) at 502 NP Avenue in Fargo will reopen at 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 6. Due to NDSU classes being cancelled and closed for the Easter Holiday, Routes 31, 32, 33, 34, 36 and the NDSU TapRide service will not be in service until Tuesday, April 11.
Residential trash and recycling collection will not occur on Wednesday, April 5. All Wednesday collections will take place on Thursday, April 6. Residents scheduled to have their trash and recycling picked up are encouraged to place their bins on the boulevard by 8 a.m. to ensure prompt pick-up. The Fargo Sanitary Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Facility will both be closed all of Wednesday, April 5 and through 12 noon on Thursday, April 6.
