North Dakota – The North Dakota Department of Commerce Tourism and Marketing Division has partnered with The Good Kids, a Bismarck-based design studio, to develop a new icon representing the state.

The goal of this initiative is to increase North Dakota’s visibility beyond its borders while also encouraging a sense of pride among residents.

This new icon is designed to complement, not replace, the state’s existing “Be Legendary” brand. It aims to provide a versatile graphic that can be used on various merchandise items, such as t-shirts, stickers, and flags.

After careful development, two design options have been selected, and public input is now being sought to help choose the icon that best represents the state of North Dakota.

The Department of Commerce encourages residents to weigh in on which design resonates most, offering them a chance to be part of shaping the state’s visual identity moving forward.
