North Dakota – Two people were injured in a crash involving a pickup truck and a tractor on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at the intersection of Highway 34 and 15th Avenue SE, about six miles south of Braddock.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, an 81-year-old man from Bismarck was driving a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on 15th Avenue SE when he failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection.

The pickup struck a John Deere tractor on the driver’s side as the tractor, operated by a 24-year-old man from Linton, slowed to make a left turn onto 15th Avenue SE.

The impact ejected the tractor driver, who sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. He was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck. The Silverado driver suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to CHI St. Alexius Health.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Agencies assisting at the scene included the Emmons County Sheriff’s Department, Braddock Fire, Hazelton Fire, Napoleon Ambulance, and Sanford Air Med.
