Bismarck, ND – As Martin Luther King, Jr. Day approaches tomorrow, residents in Bismarck and Minot can expect several city services to be delayed or closed in observance of the holiday.
In Bismarck, all city offices, including the landfill, will be closed tomorrow. There will be no garbage or curbside collection on Monday, and residents should be aware that Monday through Thursday collection services will be delayed by one day. Those whose usual pickup day is Monday should expect their garbage and recycling to be collected on Tuesday, with subsequent days following the same delay.
Meanwhile, in Minot, City Hall, the Public Works Department, the Engineering Department, and the Municipal Court will also be closed on the holiday. As in Bismarck, there will be no residential garbage collection, and those with Monday through Thursday collection days will see their service delayed by one day. The next pickup for these residents will take place on Thursday. However, city transit buses in Minot will continue to operate on their regular schedule, providing service as usual despite the holiday.
Residents in both cities are encouraged to plan accordingly and adjust their schedules to account for these changes.
