Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Police Department proudly celebrated a significant milestone on April 25, 2025, as members of the 150th graduating class of the North Dakota Law Enforcement Training Academy (ND LETA) were officially recognized.
Among the graduates, five new officers — Officer Holly, Officer Reese, Officer Small, Officer Sundby, and Officer Thorpe — have now been sworn in as official members of the Bismarck Police Department. Department leadership expressed their pride and excitement in welcoming these new officers to the team, commending their dedication and perseverance throughout the rigorous training process.
The Bismarck Police Department emphasized the importance of the training academy in preparing new officers for the demands of public service. Academy graduates receive comprehensive education in areas including criminal law, defensive tactics, emergency vehicle operations, and community policing strategies — all designed to ensure new officers are ready to serve and protect with professionalism and integrity.
