Bismarck, N.D. – The City of Bismarck recently honored Olympic gold medal winner Britta Curl-Salemme and former Minnesota Twins President and CEO Dave St. Peter during special recognition events held over the past couple of weeks.
According to the city, both were presented with customized City of Bismarck jerseys and recognized with honorary days during Bismarck Larks games at Municipal Ballpark.
City officials said the events were held to celebrate the accomplishments of individuals with ties to Bismarck who have achieved success in professional sports and leadership roles.
Curl-Salemme, an Olympic gold medalist and professional hockey forward, was recognized for her athletic achievements, while St. Peter was honored for his leadership in Major League Baseball.
Officials said the recognition events highlight community pride and aim to inspire local residents through the accomplishments of notable figures connected to the area.
