Bismarck, N.D. – Participants in the Bismarck Citizen Academy visited the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library to learn about its services and community impact.

The library welcomed nearly 260,000 visitors in 2024 and facilitated the borrowing of more than 608,000 items throughout the year.

Attendees toured the facility and spoke with staff about programming and the management of the library’s extensive collection, which includes more than 2.2 million items accessible with a library card.

The visit highlighted the library’s role as a vital community resource.
