Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Fire Department responded to and extinguished a kitchen fire at a single-family home in East Central Bismarck on Thursday evening.
The department received a call about the fire at approximately 6:09 p.m. on January 22, 2026, for a home located on the 300 block of East Central Avenue.
Fire crews were dispatched and arrived on scene around 6:12 p.m., where they found smoke coming from the front door of the residence.
Firefighters quickly moved to extinguish the fire and conducted a search of the home to ensure all occupants were safe. After the fire was put out, crews performed overhaul to check for any hidden fire that may have spread behind walls or in other concealed areas.
No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters, officials said. A fire investigation was carried out, and the cause of the blaze was determined to be accidental.
The fire department did not release additional details about the specific cause, but said the incident was handled quickly and without injury.
