Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a mobile home on the northeast side of town early Friday morning.

Fire crews were dispatched to the scene at 2500 Centennial Road and arrived at 6:29 a.m. to find heavy smoke coming from a single-wide trailer. Firefighters forced entry through the front door and used a charged hose line to extinguish the flames while conducting a primary search of the residence.

The fire was located in the living room and kitchen area. Once the flames were put out, crews conducted an overhaul to ensure no smoldering materials remained.

No injuries were reported to the occupants or responding firefighters. However, the home sustained significant damage, with heavy fire damage to the living room and kitchen and smoke damage throughout the rest of the structure.

A fire investigation determined that the blaze originated from a wood-burning stove and was ruled accidental.
