Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Police Department recently recognized the exceptional dedication and service of its members at the annual awards ceremony.

Detective Ryan Guggenberger was named 2024 Officer of the Year, honored for his unwavering commitment to justice and community safety.

Additionally, Travis Rau from the Police Youth Bureau was awarded the 2024 Civilian Employee of the Year for his outstanding contributions to youth outreach and public service.

Several other department members were also acknowledged for their excellence throughout the year:

Life Saving Award: Officer Tyler Mahowald, Officer Richard Jensen, Officer Dustin Moore, Officer Alex Weiand, Officer Jazmine Hayden, Officer Tom Grosz
Distinguished Service Award: Sergeant Dustin Miller, Detective Ryan Guggenberger, Detective Taylor Roman, Officer Andrea Benitez
Meritorious Service Award: Officer Lane Burghart
Red Ribbon Award: Officer Triston Tokach
