North Dakota – According to the state officials, the North Dakota Highway Patrol was represented at the 2025 Sheriff’s and Deputies In-Service held in Grand Forks.

Trooper Tarek Chase, an expert in drug impairment recognition, led a session on the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Program.

As the coordinator for the Statewide DRE and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Program, Trooper Chase provided valuable training to law enforcement officers on identifying and handling drug-impaired drivers.

The event aimed to enhance the skills of sheriffs and deputies across the state, ensuring they are equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques in law enforcement.
