North Dakota – North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that the South Central Human Service Center (SCHSC) and regional vocational rehabilitation office in Jamestown temporarily closed on Monday, Feb. 10, due to a water main break.
Team members notified individuals with scheduled appointments or meetings at the facility. Case managers and other staff providing services in the community continued meeting with clients as planned. Crisis services remained available 24 hours a day.
Officials did not initially provide an expected restoration time for water service. However, as of 2:15 p.m., repairs were completed, and normal business operations will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 8 a.m.
People experiencing a behavioral health crisis were advised to call 988 for immediate assistance.
SCHSC provides behavioral health and other community-based services to residents in Stutsman, Wells, Griggs, Barnes, Logan, LaMoure, McIntosh, and Dickey counties. The SCHSC Valley City outreach office remained open during the temporary closure.
