Bismarck, N.D. – The City of Bismarck announced upcoming traffic changes and a temporary water service interruption as work continues on the Tyler Parkway construction project.

According to city officials, a detour will be installed on Tyler Parkway beginning Monday, July 20, to allow crews to construct two roundabouts and two raised median pedestrian crossings.

The detour is expected to remain in place for approximately one and a half months while the work is completed.

City officials also announced that a temporary water service interruption is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The interruption will allow construction crews to lower existing water lines to make space for storm sewer installation at the Valley Drive roundabout.

Residents affected by the water service interruption will receive door hangers before the work begins, according to the city.

The City of Bismarck encouraged residents and motorists to plan ahead, use caution in the construction area, and follow posted detour signs while crews continue work on the Tyler Parkway project.
