Bismarck, N.D. – Since 2019, hundreds of law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel across the Bismarck-Mandan area have undergone Active Attack Integrated Response (AAIR) training aimed at enhancing coordinated efforts during violent incidents such as active shooter situations.

Developed by the ALERRT Center, a nationally recognized leader in law enforcement training, the AAIR course focuses on preparing agencies to work seamlessly together when seconds count.

The training prioritizes teamwork, clear communication, and essential life-saving medical skills based on proven national best practices.

Led by local certified instructors, this program equips first responders with the knowledge and tactics needed to improve their effectiveness and increase the chances of saving lives during critical emergencies.

Officials say the ongoing commitment to such training strengthens public safety across the region and ensures that responders are ready to meet complex threats head-on.
