Bismarck, N.D. – Drivers traveling through Medora can expect several traffic pattern adjustments in the coming weeks as work progresses on the Medora Business Loop and City Section infrastructure project.

Beginning the week of July 14, the newly constructed roundabout will open for full use, improving traffic flow in the area. However, work will continue on the southeast corner of the Chateau Road intersection, with completion expected by fall.

The following week, starting July 21, crews will begin installing bridge girders. Motorists should anticipate short-term impacts on Pacific Avenue as materials are delivered and lifted into place.

By mid-August, the project will advance to pouring the north side bridge deck, followed by barrier and rail installation. Once finished, traffic will be shifted to the north side, allowing crews to begin work on the south side deck.

This extensive project is a major investment in Medora’s infrastructure, timed to accommodate a rise in visitors anticipated with the grand opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) remains committed to transparency and plans to keep the public informed throughout the construction process.
