Bismarck, N.D. – Bismarck police arrested 29-year-old Summer Lebeau following an early morning stabbing that injured two people near Ministry on the Margins in the 200 block of North 24th Street.
Officers responded to the scene around midnight after receiving a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found a 22-year-old Bismarck man with a severe but non-life-threatening injury to his lower back and a 22-year-old homeless woman with a superficial wound to her face. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment and are expected to recover.
Authorities said witnesses reported the suspect approached the two victims on the sidewalk and attacked them without physical provocation. Lebeau was located nearby and taken into custody without further incident. She was evaluated at a local hospital before being booked into the Burleigh Morton Detention Center.
Police recovered a folding knife at the scene, which they believe was used in the assault. Lebeau has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
The investigation remains ongoing.
