Bismarck, N.D. – Cadets participating in the Bismarck City Government’s Citizen Academy completed the second-to-last week of their program with a visit to Fire Station #4, where they observed the day-to-day responsibilities and training involved in the firefighting profession.

During the visit on March 21 at 6:00 p.m., participants learned about the variety of emergency responses handled by firefighters and the skills required to carry out their duties.

The session provided a closer look at both routine operations and specialized training techniques used by the department.

Due to warm weather conditions, cadets were also able to tour the training tower, marking the first time a Citizen Academy class had access to the facility during a session.

The opportunity allowed participants to better understand the practical aspects of firefighter training.

Additional information about the Bismarck Fire Department and its services is available through the City of Bismarck’s official website.
