Bismarck, N.D. – Washington Street is scheduled to close from Divide Avenue to Owens Avenue beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, while crews replace underground water lines.
The closure is expected to last about one week. During the work, drivers will be detoured along Divide Avenue, 4th Street and Interstate Avenue.
Motorists are encouraged to allow an additional 20 minutes for their commutes while the closure is in place.
After Washington Street reopens, reduced lane widths will be implemented on Divide Avenue west of Washington Street as crews continue underground water main work.
The reduced lane widths are expected to remain in place for about one month.
