Bismarck, N.D. – The city of Bismarck came together for a heartfelt ceremony to name a courtroom in honor of Judge William C. Severin, recognizing his more than 42 years of dedicated service in the Municipal Court.

The event featured touching remarks and shared memories from community leaders and colleagues who praised Judge Severin’s remarkable career and lasting impact on the local justice system.

Judge Severin was also presented with a plaque from the North Dakota Municipal Judge’s Association as a token of appreciation for his enduring commitment to public service.

Officials expressing gratitude for the meaningful event included Judge Amanda Harris, Burleigh County Commissioner Jerry Woodcox, Mayor Mike Schmitz, and Judge Robert Keogh, all of whom played key roles in honoring Judge Severin’s legacy.

The ceremony underscored the respect and admiration held by the community for one of Bismarck’s longest-serving and most dedicated judges.
