Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Fire Department responded to a fire at the Bismarck Hotel and Conference Center in south Bismarck Monday morning.
At approximately 9:16 a.m. on Aug. 24, 2026, firefighters were dispatched after a report of a fire involving an electrical panel. When crews arrived, they found light smoke coming from the northwest exit doors.
A hotel employee directed firefighters to the location of the fire inside the building. Firefighters entered the hotel with a hose line and located a fire involving an electrical panel in a hallway.
Additional fire crews assisted with evacuating people from the hotel while firefighters worked to disconnect power to the building. Once the power was disconnected, crews quickly extinguished the fire.
Firefighters then conducted an overhaul operation to search for and extinguish any remaining smoldering materials.
No hotel occupants or firefighters were injured in the incident.
The Bismarck Fire Department determined that the fire was accidental.
