Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Police Department shared the first day’s results from the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, showing Team Law with 30 donations and Team Fire with 15.
Organizers said turnout was much lower than needed and encouraged more residents to participate. At least 70 additional donors are required on the second day to meet the overall goal.
Every pint of blood has the potential to save up to three adults or 97 babies, making each donation a chance to give someone a second chance at life.
The drive continues today at Kirkwood Mall in the South Courtyard, located between Scheels and JCPenney. Donors can cast their vote for Team Law or Team Fire while helping Vitalant collect life-saving blood donations.
