Bismarck, N.D. – The City of Bismarck Roads & Streets Department has officially started its citywide street sweeping program for 2025. Crews will follow a set schedule to clear residential streets, weather permitting, ensuring cleaner roads and improved stormwater drainage.
Residents and motorists are urged to exercise caution during street sweeping operations. Flying debris, such as stones, could pose hazards, and parents are advised to keep children away from sweeping areas.
Motorists should drive carefully when passing sweepers, as visibility may be reduced due to dust.
To assist in the process, the city has outlined several guidelines for residents and businesses:
- Keep vehicles and trailers off the street until sweeping is completed in your area.
- Do not rake sand or debris from boulevards into the street.
- Avoid raking or blowing leaves and grass into the street, as grass clippings can clog the stormwater system.
The city appreciates the cooperation of residents in keeping streets clean and safe. The sweeping schedule for 2025 will be followed as planned, with adjustments made as needed based on weather conditions.
