Fargo, ND – Three individuals were injured in a rollover crash on Interstate 94 in Fargo on Monday afternoon, December 23, following hazardous icy road conditions.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 3:21 p.m. when a 43-year-old woman from Moorhead, Minnesota, was driving a Ford Explorer westbound at a high rate of speed. Due to the icy conditions, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road, traveled through the north ditch, and struck several trees before coming to a stop.

The driver, along with two passengers—including a juvenile—suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. All three were transported by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for medical treatment.

In the aftermath of the initial crash, multiple other incidents occurred. Distracted by the scene, drivers failed to maintain proper attention on the road, resulting in four additional property collisions. These incidents took place before emergency crews arrived to secure the area and provide traffic control.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash. Authorities are urging motorists to remain vigilant and exercise caution when traveling in adverse weather conditions, especially with icy roads during winter months.
