Bismarck, N.D. – A Public Works employee is being recognized for lending a hand during Wednesday’s Bismarck-Mandan Mobile Food Pantry event, hosted at Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health.

Jim Evensvold of Public Works assisted with unloading and organizing food supplies as volunteers prepared for the afternoon distribution.

The mobile pantry, held at 407 S. 26th St., offered groceries to residents from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. — no pre-registration required.

City officials praised the gesture as a strong example of interdepartmental cooperation and community spirit.

The event was made possible through a partnership with Great Plains Food Bank, which regularly works to improve food access in the region.

Evensvold’s extra effort helped ensure a smooth and efficient distribution process, and his support did not go unnoticed.
