Fargo, ND — Three individuals were injured in a rollover crash on Interstate 94 in Fargo on Monday afternoon, December 23, when icy road conditions led to a vehicle losing control and striking several trees.

According to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 3:21 p.m. when a 43-year-old woman from Moorhead, Minnesota, was driving a Ford Explorer westbound at high speed. The vehicle lost control due to icy conditions, veered off the road, and traveled through the north ditch, hitting multiple trees before coming to a stop.

The driver and two passengers, including a juvenile, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for medical treatment.

In the aftermath of the initial crash, a series of additional property collisions occurred as drivers, distracted by the scene, failed to maintain focus on the road. The North Dakota Highway Patrol confirmed that four other vehicles were involved in separate incidents before emergency crews arrived at the scene to provide traffic control and aid those in need.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Authorities are urging drivers to remain cautious, especially in adverse weather conditions.
