Bismarck, NORTH DAKOTA – Authorities say the 66-year-old motorcyclist was southbound on Bixby Road near the intersection of Ridgeview Road when his Harley-Davidson FLHTK went into the ditch.
His name is Vernell Hoechst and he was thrown off his motorcycle.
The 66-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities say the man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
