Bismarck, N.D. – Public Input Meetings were announced for December 9 and 10, 2025, to gather community feedback on the Fringe Area Roads Master Plan (FARMP) Update, a project designed to guide how the Bismarck-Mandan region’s transportation network will support future growth. The study focuses on a shared long-term vision using scenario-based planning and community engagement.

Two in-person open-house sessions will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Central. The first meeting will be held on December 9 at the Mandan Morton Public Library Loft Room, and the second will be on December 10 at the Bismarck Public Works Community Meeting Room. Each session will feature an open-house format and an interactive activity to help communicate project goals. Virtual materials will be available on the project website beginning December 11.

The FARMP Update builds on the 2014 plan by addressing evolving development patterns and new community priorities. The update examines main corridors and key locations in the outer edges of the region to help shape safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation options. Officials emphasized that public feedback will play a central role in refining the long-term transportation vision.

Those unable to attend may submit written comments postmarked or emailed by December 24, 2025, to Blue Weber of Bolton & Menk at the Bismarck office. Comments should include “FARMP Public Input Meeting” in the letter heading or email subject line.
