Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Police Department assisted a local child named Royce as he delivered donated gifts to patients at Sanford Oncology earlier this month.

According to the department, officers escorted Royce to the facility as he delivered gifts purchased with money he earned by making and selling his own keychains.

While undergoing cancer treatment himself, Royce chose to give back to other children facing similar challenges in an effort to bring them comfort during a difficult time.

After learning about his efforts, the Bismarck Police Department coordinated support for the delivery.

Additional toys were donated through the North Dakota Highway Patrol First Responder Toy Drive to help expand the impact of the visit.

Department officials said Royce’s actions demonstrated compassion and generosity, noting that his efforts helped bring encouragement to children receiving treatment at the oncology center.
