Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Police Department is recognizing several local organizations for their continued support of first responders during lengthy and demanding emergency incidents.

In a message shared Tuesday afternoon, the department extended appreciation to Crisis Care Chaplaincy, American Red Cross – North Dakota/NW MN and Bismarck-Mandan Salvation Army for their behind-the-scenes efforts to assist police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel.

According to the department, these organizations routinely provide food, water and emotional support to crews working extended calls, ensuring responders remain hydrated, nourished and focused while serving the community.

Officials noted that while much of the public’s attention is directed toward the visible emergency response, the support provided in the background plays a critical role in sustaining personnel during high-stress situations.

The department described the groups’ contributions as “quiet acts of kindness” that make a significant impact on first responders and the community they serve.
