Bismarck, N.D. – The City Government of Bismarck, North Dakota, announced the completion of its 12-week Citizen Academy program, which concluded with a visit to the Bismarck Police Department.
Participants toured several areas of the department, including the weight room, evidence locker, garage, and firing range, while learning how local law enforcement works with the community to maintain public safety.
City officials said the program, now in its fifth year, is designed to give residents a better understanding of city operations and public safety efforts.
The city encouraged those interested in participating in next year’s Citizen Academy to watch for application information expected to be released in November.
