Bismarck, N.D. – Retired Bismarck Police Department Chief Dave Draovitch was honored with the Lone Eagle Award during the North Dakota Peace Officers Association’s 115th Annual Conference in Minot.
North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley presented Draovitch with the award alongside Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner, who was also recognized with the Lone Eagle Award.
The awards ceremony took place Thursday night as the association honored several North Dakota law enforcement officers for their service and contributions.
NDPOA President Scott Winkelman also presented North Dakota Game and Fish Department District Game Warden James Myhre with the North Dakota Peace Officer of the Year Award.
The association said the three recipients exemplified the high ideals of service and integrity expected of law enforcement officers.
The Bismarck Police Department congratulated Draovitch on receiving the recognition.
