Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Human Relations Committee announced the recipients of this year’s Humanitarian Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations making significant contributions to the community.
This year’s honorees include Lauren Zent, who will receive the Youth Award for her advocacy and dedication to individuals with special needs.
Mika Stokkeland is being recognized with the Adult Award for her volunteer efforts supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
The Organization Award will go to Youthworks, which is praised for creating inclusive environments where youth feel heard, safe, and empowered.
The awards are scheduled to be presented during the City Commission meeting on July 22 at 5:15 p.m.
The Human Relations Committee works to promote respect, understanding, and inclusion throughout Bismarck.
