Bismarck, N.D. – The Bismarck Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Tuesday night at the intersection of Main Avenue and West Rosser Avenue in Bismarck.

According to police, the crash happened at approximately 9:14 p.m. when a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at the intersection. Investigators said a 19-year-old motorcyclist from Sheyenne was traveling westbound on Main Avenue when the crash occurred.

Authorities reported that the motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of a Ford pickup driven by a 19-year-old Bismarck man. Police said the driver of the pickup was proceeding northeast from Main Avenue onto Rosser Avenue after leaving a stopped position.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that Bismarck Police traffic officers responded immediately and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

At this time, investigators said no determination has been made regarding whether any traffic violations occurred. The investigation remains active as traffic investigators continue to review evidence and follow up on leads connected to the crash.
