North Dakota – The North Dakota Highway Patrol provided an update on K9 Gary, who recently turned eight months and 23 days old.
Gary is currently training on vehicle pickups, a key skill for determining where a person’s trail ends and when they likely left in a vehicle.
The K9 is sharpening these instincts in preparation for his expected certification later this year, anticipated in late November or early December.
The department praised Gary’s progress and said they look forward to his official deployment in the field alongside his handler, Trooper Heisler.
