Wisconsin – A Wisconsin woman, 43-year-old  L. Fecht, was arrested earlier this week and charged with two counts of consplracy to commit first-degree intentionaI homicide. The charges stem from her alleged attempts to hire someone to kiII her parent and her parent’s spouse. According to the criminal complaint, the defendant offered ten thousand dollars upfront and an additional ten thousand after the deaths.

She reportedly told a confidential informant that she had been se-ually assauIted by a neighbor at the age of seven and that her mom and her spouse had not taken any action when she informed them. The defendant expressed that she would never forgive them and believed they had ruined her life. She allegedly stated, ‘there needs to be a price to pay, they’ve ruined my life.’ The woman also mentioned that she wanted the deaths to appear natural and discussed inheritance money as a motive.

The confidential informant informed authorities about the woman’s inquiries to hire someone to kill her mother. The informant arranged a meeting between the woman and an undercover officer posing as a hitman. During the meeting, she allegedly provided photos of her parent and her parent’s spouse, details of their vehicles, the layout of their house, and information about their schedules.

She suggested poisoning their coffee using substances like Visine or oleander flowers, believing these would not be detected in an autopsy. The woman also proposed making the deaths appear as accidents, such as falls in the shower. She allegedly offered the undercover officer one hundred thousand dollars for the job and mentioned that she would inherit a couple of million dollars after their deaths. Additionally, she reportedly mentioned her stepdad’s valuable emerald ring, suggesting that the officer could take it if desired.

According to Wisconsin authorities, the defendant wanted her parent’s spouse killed first and suggested using poison, such as oIeander she could grow or Visine drops in his coffee or sleep apnea machine. She even said she might kill him herself. For her mother, she wanted the death to look natural, suggesting a fall in the shower or suffocation, though she said that might look suspicious. She planned to repair her relationship with her mother before her stepfather’s death so it would seem more believable. She also discussed spacing out the deaths so they would not happen at the same time.

She was taken into custody and appeared via Zoom for a court hearing on August 26, 2025. A $100,000 cash bond was set, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for September 5, 2025. If convicted, she faces a maximum penalty of 60 years in prison for each count.
